EDUCATION

Sanja Rocco, PhD received her doctorate at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor, Slovenia with a doctoral thesis on the topic of design management.

She obtained her scientific master’s degree at the Marketing Department of the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb, Croatia. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Zagreb, Croatia.

DESIGN

Sanja is a designer and creative director in the field of visual communications. For years, she has also been active in the international design organization (icoD) as a member of executive board and she also promotes the design profession on the domestic design scene at the international design exhibition (zgraf). She is a member of national professional associations: ulupuh – Section for design and visual communication & Croatian design association (hdd).

Sanja also works as a lecturer at Zagreb School of Business, Edward Bernays University and Academy of Applied Arts at the University of Rijeka in Croatia. Her courses are: Creative Thinking, Design and Innovation Management, Visual Communication, Branding.

AWARDS & PUBLICATIONS

She participated in numerous design exhibitions and competitions, and her work earned domestic and international awards and recognition.

Merrit Award – 78th Art Directors Club, New York, 1999;
Honorable Mention – BIO 15, Ljubljana 1999;
Crni mačak Award for CD cover design – Ruke by Darko Rundek, 2003;
European Design Awards – Silver winner for Black&White greeting cards, 2023.
